Local Artist Frank Spidale
March 10th- April 7th, 2014
Biblio Exhibitions in partnership with the Lyons Public Library is excited to exhibit new paintings by Frank Spidale. Spidale received his B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and his M.F.A. from the American University in Washington D.C. He currently lives with his family in Riverside, Illinois and teaches at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. Frank Spidale's paintings range in subject matter from cityscapes, suburban scenes, and junkyards. In this exhibition, Spidale shows new paintings that explore abstraction. Heavily working his paintings by applying layers of oil paint, Spidale creates a bluster of colors and a rhythm of forms that exert speed, energy, and the wild. The exhibition will run from March 10th until April 7th.
We hope you'll come take a look. Frank Spidale-
